ACAL National Summit 2018

Our next ACAL National Summit will be on 7 and 8 March 2018, at the Kingsgate Haven in Kangaroo Island, South Australia. However, we encourage you to come early from Tuesday 6 March to Friday 9 March and enjoy some down-time with your spouse. 


HOW TO REGISTER

Summit Registration Fee

All Registration payments for the Summit can be made online at Eventbrite.

The registration cost of the ACAL Summit will be:

  • $200 for ACAL Members
  • $275 for non-ACAL Members

and is payable by Friday 2 February 2018.

Accommodation Costs (includes all meals)

We have reserved accommodation at the Kingsgate Haven on Kangaroo Island. You will need to book and pay for your own accommodation (food included in the price). 

Accommodation can be book directly through Trybooking or by phoning Cynthia English on 0404 849 594 (Jenny Haggar’s PA) by 6 February 2018.

Rooms available:

There are 21 room accommodations for from 28 to 50 people depending on configuration (singles, couples, twin share, families)

  • 16 motel rooms with ensuites (four more rooms being refurbished, availability TBA)
  • Five rooms in a house with two bathrooms and two living areas

When booking, please advise your room preference, as first come first served. Once those allocations are taken, you will be roomed according to availability.

Prices include accommodation and all meals: (from: dinner on Tuesday 6 March to breakfast on Friday 9 March)

Total cost per head room and food – triple share: $360 p.p

Total cost per head room and food – twin share or couple: $390 p.p

Total cost per head room and food – single: $510 p.p

Transport

You will need to book your own flight into Adelaide airport and also your transport to Kangaroo Island.

Options:

A: Sealink:  Return trip Adelaide CBD – Kingsgate Haven – Adelaide CBD

Travel for interstate attendees:

  • Fly into Adelaide airport by 12.30pm
  • Shuttle to Cape Jervis ferry (approx. 1 hr 30 mins)
  • 3.00pm Ferry to Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island (approx. 45 mins)
  • Shuttle from Penneshaw to Kingsgate Haven (approx. 45 mins)
  • Arrive Kingsgate Haven by 5.00pm
  • Dinner at 6.00pm–6.30pm

We are waiting for confirmation of possible transport and costs with Sealink via a shuttle bus from Adelaide airport to Cape Jervis to connect with the 3.00pm ferry but this is dependent on numbers.

Attendees would need to land by 12.30pm to catch the shuttle leaving at 1.00pm.

  • Fly into Adelaide, then
  • Return flight: Adelaide – Kingscote – Adelaide. Booked in advance: approx. $270

We can arrange a pick up with volunteer cars for smaller numbers.

C:  Qantas

Flights from interstate – information presently unavailable

For South Australian based attendees:

Bus / Ferry / Shuttle : $46 / $98 / $33 = $177p.p

Shuttle times (only twice a day):

  • From Ferry to Kingsgate Haven: 10.00am and 7.00pm
  • From Kingsgate Haven to Ferry: 7.25am and 5.55pm.

OR: Car on the ferry $196 return, plus ferry $98 p.p  (Seniors discounts available)
